Health Manager - Western Egyptian Head Start

8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, 40 hours weekly, 52 weeks a year.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field of Child Health Services with 21 semester hours in Early Childhood Education. Preference is given to applicants with experience in Head Start. Must be a good listener, organized, can work independently, and prioritize workload. Must work with the Health Advisor Board. Have Food Manager’s License. Must meet requirements of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Licensing Standards.

Duties include providing monthly status reports, Obtaining and maintaining CLASS certification, Obtaining and maintaining vision and hearing certification, coordinating general medical and dental services for children and their families, serving as an advocate for child health, working in collaboration with a Nutrition Consultant, monitoring meal services, Promote preventive health services and early intervention, conduct Health and Safety Checklist for each site, Monitor and data entry of health requirements of children, Monitor and data entry of safety drills, and Monitoring of First Aid Kits, Arrange CPR and First Aid training, conduct and arrange Health and Safety Trainings for staff.
